Dr Antonis Kokossis is a Professor at NTUA. He is a senior expert in process systems design and process integration with strong emphasis on renewable energy systems, polygeneration and the design of biorefineries and industrial symbiosis networks and has extensive experience in designing and implementing intelligent software platforms that deliver outcomes from scientific methodologies to industrial practice. His research includes, among others, the design of energy and power networks and environmental problems across a wide spectrum of applications such as recycling, gasification and waste to energy projects, using a variety of design and optimization tools. He has 23 years of experience in process synthesis, optimization, process design and modelling. He is a member of the UK Advisory Committee on Renewable Materials (bio-fuels, bio-refineries), the US Environmental Division of AIChE, and the Chair of Process Systems Engineering in the School of Chemical Engineering at the NTUA.
