The objective of IMIS is to transfer technological know-how for innovative information systems to partners in the public and the private sector, through reports and services. IMIS has substantial experience in producing state-of-the-art reports for large scale information systems, especially in the area of integration of data and services.


The Department of Software Technology and Development studies best practices and state-of-the-art methodologies and tools, for developing information systems and for managing software development projects. The Department uses those practices and tools to develop innovative applications, and to transfer know-how to the public and the private sector.

RealTP is a multimedia application that implements opinion polling in (almost) real time as an internet service.


Added-value services in wireless broadband networks: a new web-based service for location discovery of mobile devices, which is based on existing WiFis instead of GPS technology.
