elcome to IMIS, the Institute for the Management of Information Systems. IMIS started its operation in March 2007, and is the newest institute of "Athena", the Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies.

Our mission is to conduct research, develop applications and products, and provide services in the areas of data management and large scale information systems. Our focus is on database and information systems technologies, on the development of large scale data management applications, and on the innovative utilization of infomation resources. Our aim is to co-operate with the industry, the public sector, and the academia through research and development projects, in order to develop and transfer new technological solutions for the exploitation and the management of data.
